Coming events
The Reliance Rotary Rally Team are looking forward to getting out in the forest again, with 2 events coming up at the South Coast. Mini'Dulla is on the 21st of September (details here) and the rescheduled Rally of the Bay is a month later on the 19th of October (details here).
Targa Adelaide success
Reliance Rotary customer Bruce Power had a very successful Targa Adelaide taking 3rd Classic Outright and 2nd Late Classic Handicap in his 13B powered 1979 Mazda RX7. Bruce drove extremely well under trying weather conditions with Andrew Buerckner, a rookie to Tarmac style events, navigating for him. They had a relatively trouble free run - much to the relief of their service crew. A fantastic result that makes the hard work by many to get the car ready all worthwhile.
Provisional results (from Targa News - Hoff wins two classic titles).

SDMA Hillclimb Feb 2013
The first SDMA Hillclimb event of the year was held last Sunday, with great results for Reliance customer cars despite the very mixed weather. The newly revised 13BT powered Lancer of John Templeton took out 2nd place outright with JW at the wheel with a blistering 46.99 - obviously the 5 link worked well. More importantly John Templeton was very pleased with how the car now handles and gets the power down.
The Team Aardvark RX7 managed one good run which netted 5th outright and first in Type 3 2001-3000cc with a 48.24 (not too far off last years PB of 48.08).
A great day - even with the wet weather.
Tyrie Starrs put some photos from the event up
Next event is the HeartKids Hillclimb on the 24th of March - a 2 lap event raising money for HeartKids - looking forward to it as it is a great event and a very worthy cause.

The National Capital Rally is on this weekend - http://nationalcapitalrally.com.au/. The Reliance Rotary Rally Team are doing Car Zero duties in the WRX. So if you are looking for Jon at Reliance - you may have to wait until next week.
And I'm not volunteering to wash the WRX after the event...
